It’s called  Text4baby.  Ok, cool, but what is it? Text4baby is a free cell phone service which offers health information to new moms and moms-to-be. It covers everything from pregnancy through a baby’s first year.  And did I mention it’s free?

Now here’s how it works—

1.)    Sign up for the service by texting BABY to 511411. Or text BEBE for Spanish.

2.)    You’ll receive three free text messages every week. These messages focus on a ton of important topics including birth defects prevention, immunization, nutrition, seasonal flu, and safe sleep. Text4baby messages also connect women to prenatal and infant care services and other resources.  What’s cool is these messages are actually timed to your child’s delivery date. Wow!

3.)    That’s it. You’re done! No really, it’s that easy.
